Counting Without Cookies

Not everything we measure uses a cookie. We keep a count of how our own pages are used, entirely on our servers. It stores nothing on your device, which is why it is not listed among the cookies below and is not part of the choice you make in the banner.

It records daily totals only: the page address, the site that linked to you, any campaign tag in the link, the device type and the country reported by our content delivery network. To count people rather than page views, your IP address and browser identifier are turned into an irreversible code that changes every day, so the same visitor cannot be recognised across two days and the code cannot be turned back into your IP address. Those codes become a plain daily number and are deleted within a week. The privacy policy describes this in full.
